We actually work with this program a lot out of Boeing Field. Typically we take off with two Learjets and fly a specific pattern towing a sphere two miles behind us. The sole purpose is to test their radar and other equipment. There are currently 3 of the Wedgetails and to my understanding they are the first 737s in history to have mid-air refueling capabilities. This wasn't it's first trip to Nellis though
