I was approached by UFO Hunters when they were working on the Stephenville UFO sightings. A friend who knows I monitor all the military frequencies in the area referred them to me. When I told the producer that I had just finished doing background research for a story in Popular Mechanics this month debunking the sightings as possibly being caused by classified military aircraft testing in the Brownwood MOA - they kindly thanked me for the info and then never called back. After that It became painfully aware what kind of story the planned to do - a sensationalized story bound to net high ratings and not a balanced one.
