Thanks Frank, I understand about the corrosion preventive paint. When Joerg and I visited the site in August we only saw green paint no tan. I never disputed that it was not #85-0131 I just wanted to see some tan paint to confirm. Now part of it is that the aircraft crashed down in a wadi. Alan's photos did not show how much of the aircraft actually survived. The Air Force hauled it all away in trucks and in 55 gallon drums. When Joerg and I were there about 10 empty drums were still at the site. All that's left is little tiny shards mostly green. I was just surprised hardly any were from the outer skin. Jeff
