By examining the shadows of the nearby vehicles, it appears to be tailless with diamond-planform wings. It is approximately 20 feet in length with a wingspan of around 10 feet. From the angle of the shadows and the date of the image being August 29, I would estimate the time of this to be early in the morning.

I tend to agree with Joerg that this was probably an aborted landing. Otherwise the aircraft probably would have taxied off of the runway and under cover. Also, these don't appear to be special purpose vehicles attending to it--merely a couple of standard flight line pickup trucks just like the ones near the former Rivet Joint hangars.

Any comments?
