How long does this conference usually last and what cost can be expected for attendance? Based on the webmaster's experience what will the novice attendee gain from the conference? Are there handouts and literature? Perhaps an unpublished frequency list? Or maybe a thumbdrive with the high res pictures? Maybe opportunities for patch trades?
