Thank you for sharing that account with our readers, Scot. Do you think that what your friend saw might have been a flight test platform of some sort? Did he mention aircraft testing being done around there at the time? Did he give any more details? The reaction of his boss could indicate that he knew about the true nature of the sighting. But even if he did not, it would be standard procedure to get more information, while at the same time making sure the potentially sensitive information does not fall into the hands of the enemy. Especially in those days, when the possibility of UFOs was much more widely accepted.
