Thank you for posting the link. I did not know about the cuts in funding or about the monitoring program being phased out. Sounds like DOE is pretty much monitoring itself now, and we can assume the data to be "sanitized" before it is released.

The Rachel monitoring station, as well as about two dozen others around the Ranges, is operated by the Desert Research Institute. I hope they will keep up their independent program...
