I read a recent account of the NSAWC activities at Fallon which stated that during "Strike U" evolutions, a "target airbase" about 23 miles away from NAS Fallon is used as a main target of Blue Air students, to be defended by the Red Air instructors. I assume this is a stretch of desert in the bombing ranges made up to look like an airfield, but I can't find it on Google Earth. Any knowledge?
