There may be a problem with your proxy settings. Try to disable the proxy settings in your web browser.

Also, I think there is an incompatibility with certain versions of the AOL browser. If you have problems with the chat in the AOL software try using Netscape (V4.x and up) or MS Internet Explorer (V5.x and up) instead.
