I agree that the object seems to be relatively close, judging from the angle and sharpness of contrast. Like I said earlier, I thought I took a photo of a King Air taking off, but this does not even remotely look like a King Air.
A spider, as Magoo suggested, is much closer, but there was nothing but sky overhead and I don't know how a spider could have gotten in the air. Maybe it IS time to seek the opinion of a larger audience...
