The object sits several hundred yards away from the road, and from any other structure. I doubt that it is an intrusion detector. I have never seen a similar device in the area, which would probably be the case with a detector. Radar is more likely. When you look at my photo with the cover off you can see four reddish bolts sticking up. They seem to be mounts for whatever sits inside. Several of my photos show the two workers handling the cover, but none of them shows any other device.
