I was also curious about this spot and checked it out on GE. I don't recall the exact distance from Pine Gap to the nearest airstrip (I thought it was right at it), but its a relatively small and "primitive" looking runway. I think it was only a few thousand feet long. Nothing someone would chance landing a super high performance aircraft by the looks of it.


the place that intrigues me more is Eilson AFB in Alaska, very long runway, relatively remote area, a BIG hanger similar in dimensions to the big one at area 51. plus this is where the USAF holds another set of red flag type exercises as it is.
