If you can't afford an F3 check out an F2. I've got three of these and they are just about bullet proof. Last time I checked these were less expensive than a F3 although an F2 in great condition can sell for more than an F3. I take mine out backpacking quite frequently and one has been dropped several times and only needed minor adjusting. I've also used mine for astrophotography on my Meade Starfinder with excellent results. I think there's a magnifying viewfinder available for the F2 but I'd have to check my books to be sure. John
