It does seem rather pointless. I can see removing classified avionics, but I don't really know why they bothered removing the RAM and edge treatments. It's not like anyone is going to set up a radar cross-section measurement system in the parking lot and collect data. In any case, our most dire adversaries already have access to material from the F-117A that was shot down over Serbia in 1999 (except for the thousands of small pieces being sold by the gift shop of a Serbian aviation museum in which some of the wreckage is displayed).

It's too bad the ejection seat was removed from Article 783. Also, the window glass could have been replaced with ordinary glass or Plexiglas coated with the same sort of gold film one would use on automobile windows. It would have looked much better than opaque aluminum plates.
