The JANET patch and vinyl decal sold by Glenn Campbell were based on a design that was used on ball caps from EG&G Special Projects at McCarran Airport. The emblem on the cap was either an iron-on or silkscreen design. The cap itself was the kind with a white, foam-filled, cloth front and a black brim and plastic-mesh back. I photographed the cap (at a location in Nevada) and painstakingly reproduced the artwork. Glenn opted for a 4-inch decal and a 3-inch patch. I would have preferred a larger patch, but it fit better on the front of the hat. Glenn chose to use a more appropriate red and white cap. I eventually had the opportunity to give some of the patches and decals to JANET crew members.
