I got up there in my Roadtrek van with no problems at all. But it requires good weather, going slow, getting out to walk sections first, and most of all a willingness to risk getting stuck/doing damage to the vehicle. There's a trip report on it with photos.

And yes there are high voltage power lines up there, could hear them buzzing a bit -- so likely all sorts of RF noise too.

Bottom line: I'm not likely to do that again -- at least not without a friend in a 4WD and a winch going with me.
