Yes, scanning banks of programmed channels is definitely faster and gets you more hits than bank scanning. The only time I use band scan is to search for new frequencies. I organize frequencies in banks according to their use: Red Flag, Nellis, McCarran, ATCC etc. This makes it easy to scan only the groups you are interested in at the moment.
