Hi Frank and others going to Coyote. Yes its easy to get too. Its 10 miles east of the Inn and the turn off is marked by two orange trash barrels. Yes you can drive to the top. Their is a metal pole stuck in the ground at the top so keep an eye out for it. Their is a small fire pit up there so if you want to cook burgers or dogs it is available. If you are up there for a night exercise you might want it for some heat. As far as lenses are concerned everyone has their preferences. I use a 300mm zoom. They come pretty low and fast thru there and with full zoom sometimes they fill the frame and are out of it before I can activate the shutter.
If you climb to the top of the mountain there sometimes you can shoot down into the canopy, as they will be flying below you. Its an easy climb up.
