Short answer: No. I would not worry about the trunking system. The Groom trunking is encrypted anyway, and can not be decoded. The only system you can pick up with a trunking scanner is the NTS/Nellis system. Which is difficult to pick up on the north side of the ranges. And trunking scanners capable of receiving the NTS system are very expensive. Posted by Joerg January 2007
