Not sure if you are alone or with someone makes any difference in going to the GLR border. The road should be passable. They take pretty good care of it as it is used by the employee bus and contractors vehicles. The large mountain on your right as you turn on to GLR is Bald Mountain. Their is an electronics farm on the top. The trip to the back gate (Rachel gate) should be passable also. The road to Cedar Gate is paved and has huge chuck holes. If their is snow their may be ice under the snow. This is the gate where they have the russian radar and the sam site. The drive up should be about 2hours or so. About 10 miles after you turn on to 375 youll be at Hancock Summit. You'll see the signs. Watch out for black ice. Just take it slow and you will be fine.
