We don't know positively that the name came from Poe's poem "DREAM-LAND," but it seems likely. The wording of the poem could easily have inspired someone. The DREAMLAND radio callsign dates back to the late 1960s when YULETIDE Special Operations Area was renamed DREAMLAND.
