Glad you mentioned the Bowling Alley. I took a better look at it and the thing is boarded up (like about 10% of Tonopah). The lot was packed (perhaps 25 vehicles.) This is really a likely bus stop area, though I don't know if anyone staked the site out in the AM to see the bus. There was lots of activity at the TTR, just not much flying. Some grading was going on near the housing area. The radar site would be a mile west of the Cactus gate. That is, it would be along the fence line. You could get a lot closer by driving to the TTR boundary on Cedar Pass, then making a left and driving along the fence until you reached the border corner. Since that road isn't used often, I was hesitant to drive it without a back-up vehicle.
