Security at the Janet terminal

I just noticed that there is a new, temporary guard tower with remote controlled security cameras on top in the parking lot of the Las Vegas Janet terminal. I did not have my camera handy, but it is essentially a large brown trailer with a watch tower that can be raised. It sits by the northern Haven St. gate that is normally closed.

I also noticed several new remote-controlled cameras mounted to the light poles and to the top of the building. Looks like security has been increased there.

In that context: The new tower near the GL Rd Guard Shack that we reported last week also holds a large remote controlled camera. It provides better coverage of parts of GL Rd and the hills surrounding the Guard Shack, including Hawkeye Hill and Freedom Ridge. There does not appear to be an antenna on the tower, but the camera seems to be the prime purpose for its construction. I will upload a couple of photos shortly.
