Back in the late 80's I was working at a defense contractor. This was a large site with military people from every U.S. service as well as Nato, RAF, RAAF, RCAF, and some others. Anyways, every month they had a quest speaker come in for a lecture series. One month they had Tom Clancy come in. Before going into the lecture hall we were told to be very careful. We were told that Clancy was very sharp and is always fishing for information or confirmations based on the facial reactions to some of the things he said. He gave a very interesting lecture on his research. He later used our company in one of his books which did not go over well.
