What I got from the Breitling web site is you had to un-screw a cap and pull out the antenna to activate the ELT. The watch is water proof to 3 bars (?) and still transmit. Interesting bit of data on the Bellanca Super Decathlon. Top speed 162 MPH, stall speed 51 MPH, service ceiling 15,800 FT and per an LA Times article, "NTSB records indicate only one non-fatal crash" (pilot error or any crash you can walk away from is a good one) "since 1976".
