Cameras for the Firepower Demo

Some have asked if you need high end camera equipment to photograph this exercise. In my opinion you do not. I have seen some pretty good photos taken with 35mm low end cameras. As far as lenses I have taken most of my shots with a digital 300mm zoom and have been very happy with the results. The action is pretty fast so unless your a pro a longer lens has a tendency to not lock up fast enough and is difficult to hold steady. This is just my experience and everyone has their favorite equipment that they are comfortable with and may be more experienced than myself.I was shooting at Nellis during the last Red Flag and a guy next to me had a digital one time use throwaway that he had bought at Walgreens for $19.95 and he emailed me some of the photos and they were really good. So what ever youve got will be good.
