Just to add to what I wrote: I'm about 96% sure that I would not have had a problem with a passenger car. I don't remember seeing any soft ground. I also don't remember having to straddle any ruts or avoid any exceptionally large rocks. I might have gotten a flat tire if a problem occured but I most likely would not have gotten stuck. Beyond the spring the road does get really bad really fast. Still, find something better than a passenger car if you can. Drive nice and slow for the last mile or so before the spring.
