Thanks for the trip report. It sounds like you had an enjoyable stay in the area. Their is beauty in the desert and no one believes how quiet and dark it is till they visit. I got an email from a poster about two weeks ago saying that he and a friend had rented an RV in Vegas and had driven to the area and stayed five nights camped out. He said it was a class C and was great for two people. It had a/c and a generator, shower, flush toilet, gas stove and fridge, and a microwave. They gave him 150 free miles. He said the total cost at the end was $700.00, $350.00 each. That comes out to around $70.00 each per day. He said they stopped at Sams Club in Vegas and bought the food so they ate good meals and did bbq a couple of nights. He said the only draw back was their were places they wanted to explore off road and were afraid to take the RV so most of their exploration was on foot. In the end he said that he would do it again so I guess it worked for him.
