That episode of "Man, Moment, Machine" first aired on 30 August 2005. Scenes recreating ground preparations for Powers' mission, the flight, his parachute descent, and imprisonment at Lubyanka were filmed at the Blackbird Airpark in Palmdale. I played the Crew Chief.
