I did buy a new truck and it comes with 1 free year of On Star. I did try that at the Power Line Overlook. It connected there and she said, "they list you in the town of Hiko, but there aren't any roads anywhere near you!" I also tried it at the Groom Lake border and it did not make the connection there. I believe On Star is Verizon Cellular based but I'm new to it, so don't quote me on that...
