I usually carry an army ALICE backpack with frame. Fits all my gear and water. I suggest at least a gallon of water per day.
We have GPS coordinates for the best route up in our maps section (See attached link). Getting a GPS before the hike is a good investment. Its easy to get lost up there. Don't forget to take a waypoint where your car is parked.
