Were they actually close in "formation" side by side and could you tell if they were the same type of aircraft? Possibly a photo shoot for an airline fleet? I remember that when I worked for Clay Lacy Aviation at Van Nuys Airport we did aerial video shoots for more than a few airlines and can recall seeing footage of a formation flight of different aircraft types belonging to an overseas carrier.
