The Iranian Tomcats (the few still airworthy, that is) have nowhere near their original capability. They've been pretty desperate for parts for many years now.

The Phoenix system was the first to go. There are photos out there of Toms with Hawk SAMs jury-rigged to be fired as long range AAMs. It was never an effective experiment.

They're still precious commodities to Iran; they mostly use them as mini-AWACS to direct other fighters, while they keep the Toms at a relatively safe distance.
