I am not familiar with that particular model. I am using the Uniden BCD396T. It is excellent for VHF air (civilian) and UHF air (military), and also for the Nellis trunking system. The 396T is a handheld unit. There is also a base/mobile version, BCD996T, which has some added features. It makes it easier to listen to multi-site trunking systems, although this can also be done with the 396T.
