Sounds reasonable to me. A little photoshop enhancement shows that the object has some volume, and one clearly defined edge (the rest of the object is getting some light reflected from the spacecraft, and the left hand edge, slightly turned toward the camera, is in the shadow and makes a clear black line).

Not to mention... did anyone ever say that Aurora's propulsion system would work in space? Anything that works in space is going to have to leave some sort of mass behind (there's no air to push against) and this object has no train whatsoever. So either the Aurora pictured here is thousands of miles across in the atmosphere somewhere, it is currently in a stable low earth orbit, or this isn't an aurora. Hmm, I wonder which is the simplest logical explanation: piece of tile from spacecraft picture is taken from, or secret government project that defies the laws of physics (and previous theories about said government project), accidentally spotted by US government and put online for the public to see. Yep, it must be aurora.
