I've contacted this guy who has a wave file of the event. If he allows me, I'll put it up on a free site I have for such stuff.

============================
All Systems were "Go" and with a 5 second countdown and with the call "LAUNCH
LAUNCH LAUNCH" the X-43A was dropped at 13:43:25 PDT (my time).

The following dialog was hear on 237.0 MHz:

Chase: "Missile is away... dropping... stable"

Chase: "Ignition"

Chase: "Starting to climb... looking good"

Chase: "Now it's ah, yawing..."

Chase: "It's out of control"

Chase: "...wild gyrations, we'll try to stay on it here..."

Chase: "...tumbling end-over-end, now uh... now dropping, still yawing
wildly"

NASA-008: "...and NASA-2 we're going to have to terminate"

NASA-2: "NASA-2 copies"

NASA-008: "aircraft clear"

NASA-008: "all aircraft clear, wer're gonna arm.... and terminate"

Chase: "and the terminate did work... did blow apart... still have some
residual flame as it's going straight down"

Following this NASA test flight in real-time was a first for me. I had my
frequency list, LA Sectional Chart, and X-43 articles and mission profile in
front of me as the drama unfolded. I was really excited for the mission and
at one point I felt her hair on the back of my neck "coming on-line". I'm
really disappointed that the mission was a failure.

I have mission audio in the form of a .wav file if anybody would like to hear
what I heard. Email me privately and I'll Winzip it and sent it out you.

My condolences to NASA on this setback to the X-43 "Hyper-X" program.
