Whoever is heading up the project team for visual stealth has gotta be a Star Trek fan. He/she is just dying to give future aircrews the option to order, "engage cloaking device!" :)

I wonder if they'll have to decloak to fire...

On a serious note, visual stealth (to me) is one of the most exciting things of all that they could be working on at Groom. If they are able to make it workable on a fast moving, relatively large manuevering object like an aircraft, with constantly shifting backgrounds, then perfecting it for stationary or slow-moving objects (buildings? hangars? people?) would seem pretty simple in comparison.
