As Peter suggested, the location of the new tower at Groom is very close to sensitive systems. Given the huge, mostly empty, area of the northern Emigrant Valley, the question is why this location was chosen. Proximity to the radar sites or other installation nearby could be a factor. Just thinking out loud here. Comments anyone?
