As much as I hate to delve into the UFO Conspiracy side of things, I might as well offer what knowledge I do have. The story I have always heard about Majestic 12 (not the same thing as MAJIC, I don't think), was that it is an ultra-high level group of people who are aware of the existence of recovered alien craft, and therefore, the existence of alien life. Supposedly, President Eisenhower was one of the original members. A somewhat evolved version of this idea was incorporated into the show "The X Files." If you remember, the Cigarette Smoking Man sometimes was shown reporting to and receiving instructions from a group of men who knew everything about the alien presence. Take the idea of Majestic 12 (at least this one) with a whole mine full of salt, if you ask me. I strongly convinced of the existence of alien life, but I'm less confident in the ability of our government to manage a conspiracy of this magnitude. The mother of all government operations, indeed. :)
