Defcon is fast approaching. These guys always make a "run for the border" if you know what I mean. It looks like they won't be shooting wifi accross Nevada this year, maybe because last years 125 mile hook-up is too hard to beat.

Years ago the Defcon guys claimed they launched a helium balloon near the front gate with aluminum foil hanging down from it so that it would show up on radar. The claim was a jet was scrambled to shoot it down. Now if they said the base sent the chopper to investigate, I might believe the story.

Now I did recover some balloons on Crash Mountain (the large hill behind where we photograph planes at Coyote) and gave the debris to Jolene and Black F150 for analysis.
