I was on Ebay looking at the BCD 396T handheld (a lot of recommendations) but then I noticed the BCT8 mobile (more power, Arrr Arrr Arrrr: Less money, OH Boy) As Hank said I could stick one in my pocket and hike to the top of Tikaboo. The other one would be used around the truck (probably most of the time). As yet none of the agencies here in the Central Valley have gone to trunking but I think it’s only a matter of time. I also take quite a few road trips out of the valley and my understanding is that there are some in Southern Cal that have gone digital. I’ve dealt with Icoms at work, nothing really against them but no warm fuzzes ether.
