If you want more info my suggestion is to surf the site. Read the trip reports and the posts in the Forum. The links on the left will answer any questions that you may have as well as some you didn't ask. Our Chat Room is a good source of information. Forget the Popular Science article. The base is very active and is still there. At least it was 2 weeks ago.
