Sorry, I use MSN Terraserver and on some aerial views your can also choose (with a tab at the top) a TOPO(topographical) map.........I put in your latitude and longitude, and switched to topo and the location was not in the NTS but just on the other side of "Death Valley"....Perhaps I misunderstood you posts location of the Lathrop Wells Cone...........
