Today we mourn the loss of Michael A. Dornheim, 51, of Los Angeles, who died in an automobile accident on 3 June. His body was found nine days later inside his car, several hunded feet down a steep canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains. Dornheim, a senior editor for Aviation Week & Space Technology magazine, was one of the nine original Dreamland Interceptors. He joined AW&ST in 1984. Since that time he often wrote about the latest developments at Area 51. He will be deeply missed by his friends and colleagues.
