About two years ago I went on the NTS tour. While we were driving up to the Plow Share test location, there was a very futuristic looking building off in the distance that the tour person mentioned was built for “sub-critical” testing? We only got a within a few miles of the building and the tour guide did not have any interest in discussing the facility other than their initial comment. The building looked heavily fortified with surveillance towers, had a prison like fencing surrounding it, was deep inside the NTS, and it looked like more goes on there than “sub-critical” testing. What goes on at that location?
