This is a shame.....The U-2 retiring is a shock. It has been the workhorse of the aerial intelligence community for decades. Asking it to retire is comparable to retiring the Television. Just not logical. In the face of unmanned recon, and the birth of technological war, the soldier can sit in his overstuffed recliner, and machines take the risk. Big step toward that goal.

Since its often said that politicians fight the wars, and the soldiers do the struggling and dying, I see there being quite a large number of people in support of leaving troops at home, and sending unmanned flights. But just because its good doesnt mean I have to like it. What's next? Ford to roll over and retire too?
