I noticed the MCY beacon has radials. It's likely that any desert beacon would need them due to poor ground conductivity. This would be a good clue in the search for these beacons. Now I'm a bit more confident that XSD is at N37.875626 W116.821428, though this can be verified by a trip to the TTR.

Another thing to keep is mind is where do the Janet lose their altitude. If they come in too low, it's possible the Groom VOR can't be heard. This would imply that PYD is in a spot where it wouldn't be shadowed by the Papose Range.

Third, you might want to consider that the Janets use MCY for navigation, even if it is not in the flight plan. That would explain why one of the radial fixes is so close to MCY.
