Not sure about the small pond at the first set of coordinates (N37 17'55.57" / W 115 47'31.32"). I doubt that the local rancher would have a cattle water hole that close to the north end of the lake bed. I would be interested to hear what others make of this.

The second set of coordinates points to Slater Lake, a man-made lake surrounded by trees. In the 1960's it was used as a recreation area, and quite likely it still is. It is named after Col. Hugh "Slip" Slater, who was the base commander in 1966. There are a lot of classified radio sites around that area now, and I heard that the area is considered too classified to continue using the lake as a recreation area much longer.
