Getting waaayyy off topic here, but I think Andre's comments about Martin Sheens' character are valid, however this isn't necessarily a bad thing. One of the things I like about the show is that all the main characters have faults, and are certainly not perfect! It's not your glossed over fluffy crap that can come out of some movies and/or novels. And the writing, regardless of political persuasion, is superb.
