There was only one downed tree that I noticed blocking the road, about 50-100 yards before the lower parking area. Someone had started a road around it, and after minor improvements we took that new road.

We drove up to the spot where the tents are, although the Tahoe is a little big for that. If you are concerned about scratches and minor dents on the sides, I would not recommend this in a Tahoe-sized truck. But it sure cuts down on the hike...
